The team carried out a fantastic 2nd Degree overcoming the difficulties of coming from different Lodge’s and Province’s.

A special mention of course, goes to Bro. James Green who hails from Lodge Colinton & Currie No.1029 – back row 2nd from the left!

50 Year Diploma – Bro. Peter Henderson

It was a great delight to be able to award Bro. Peter Henderson his well earned 50 Year Diploma at Lodge Colinton & Currie No.1029.

The Diploma was presented by the Provincial Grand Master Bro. Stephen Humphries and Bro. Douglas Munro R.W.M on 22nd March 2023.

Lodge Colinton & Currie Installation 14th January 2023

The RWM and Offices Bearers were installed on the 14th of January 2023, with our reigning Master for 2022 Douglas Munro being installed again this year.

The photograph below shows our Right Worshipful Master Douglas Munro in the centre, with his two Right Worshipful Installing Masters by his side.

Unlike 2022 when the Covid Restriction only allowed members of the Lodge to attend the Installation, this year members of other Lodges were permitted and invited to attend.

Lodge Colinton and Currie No.1029 we proud to present a Remembrance Day Poppy Wreath on Armistice Day at the Ceremony held at Currie Church on Sunday 13th November 2022.

2021 – 2022

Provincial Grand Master of Midlothian Bro. Stephen J Humphries

Charity donation sponsorship for The Provincial Grand Master of Midlothian who did a virtual Walk from John O’ Groats to Lands’ End – a total of  603 miles in aid of Prostrate Scotland total £350.00.

A Donation of chocolate and sparkling wine were given to Currie Kirk to assist with the Afternoon tea celebration for Her Majesty the Queens Platinum Jubilee.

A donation of £500.00 was given to Upward Mobility Charity, who give so much of their time and care to Gregor the son of Bro. Ronny Moyes PM 392 & Hon Member of Lodge Colinton and Currie No.1029.

A donation of £500.00 was given to the Currie Girl Guide Group to help with the replacement floor covering in the Guide Hall.

2017 – 2018

West Highland Way – Bro. Kenny Patterson P.M.

Bro. Kenny Patterson, a Past Master of Lodge Colinton and Currie No.1029 completed a sponsored walk the entire length of the West Highland Way covering 96 miles in total.

In doing so, he raised £2000.00 towards The Provincial Grand Lodge Charities.
